24 Jun : Flexifoil Join Polar Quest – We are delighted to annoucne that UK's leading kite manufacturer Flexifoil has joined the Polar Quest expedition as principle kite provider.

29 Apr : Sponsored Quiz Night – Saw ROK and Ashfords estate agents team up to hold a quiz in aid of the Polar Quest Project. Over 150 people attended raising in excess of £1000 for the expedition. Many thanks to all those that took part and gave so generously to our cause
23 Mar : Media Launch at Milton Keynes – The Polar Quest expedition held a national press launch in the Xscape SnoZone at Milton Keynes.
21-22 Mar : Final Packing – Final sledge packing at Poole, Dorset.
2 Mar : Foreign & Commonwealth Office Briefing – Capt Chapple gave the Polar Regions Department at the F&CO a final briefing on plans for the North Pole.
1 Mar : Emergency Procedures Exercise – The Rear Link Detachment (UK) heade up by Captain Greg Fenton RM conducted a mock exercise to rehearse communications and safety procedures.
27 Feb : Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent and Lady Mary Meet Polar Quest – The Polar Quest and Polar Watch teams, partners and parents met with the expedition Patron and Lady Mary during a dinner at the Officers' Mess of the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines hosted by Brigadier Gary Robison ADC, the Deputy Commandant General Royal Marines.
11-19 Feb : Expedition Finse Haul – The team completed a 7-day training expedition in Finse, Norway. - more info

10 Dec 05 : Congratulations to Polly – A big conratulations to South Pole member Polly Robinson (now Hatchard!) on her wedding today. We hope the weather stays fine and all goes to plan - have a great honeymoon.
5-6 Nov 05 : Team Technical Training Weekend – The Polar Quest Teams met at the Commando Training Centre and complete a technical training weekend that included instruction on polar navigation, cold weather injuries, equipment and TMS Development International Ltd.
1 Nov 05 - Congratulations to Colour Sergeant Rob McIntyre – Congratulations to Rob McIntyre (Logisitics Officer) who has been promoted to Colour Sergeant and taken on a new post in Poole.
29 Oct 05 - Congratulations to Corporal Ross Kane – Congratulations to Ross Kane (South Pole Team) who has just passed his Senior Command Course with a Superior B pass. This qualifies him for promotion to Sergeant.
26 Oct 05 - Pre-Deployment Briefing – Capt Sean Chapple presented the Polar Quest Expedition at the HMS ENDURANCE Pre-Deployment Briefing attended by representatives from FLEET Headquarters, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, British Antarctic Survey, UK Hydrographics Office and the British Schools Exploration Society.
25 Oct 05 - Meeting with HMS ENDURANCE – Capt Sean Chapple, Surg Lt Cdr Andy Brown and Lt Polly Robinson met and briefed the Captain Nick Lambert RN, the Commanding Officer of HMS Endurance and Lt Cdr Karl Wiseman (Operations Officer) on the Polar Quest Expedition.
24 Oct 05 - Kite Training Training – The South Pole team met with Paracademy in Weymouth, but due to the weather being 'too windy' the team were unable to kite, although some valuable technical training was competed.
18 Oct 05 - Polar Quest Sponsorship Steering Group meeting at the Commando Training Centre to review progress and identfy future milestones for fundraising activities.

19 Aug 04 - Approval to Proceed Granted! The expedition has received authority to proceed with the expedition after re-presenting its plans to the RM MEC.
